Questions & Answers about easySink:
- Can I get an easySink plate with a different number of holes?
- Yes, you can contact us direct and we will ship you a plate with 1, 2, 3, or 4 holes. The plates are $19.99 plus shipping. You can also call us to find out if there is an easySink reseller in your area so you may save on shipping!
- Is easySink better than an under-mount sink?
- Yes! easySink is a better solution because you will not only make future repairs faster and easier, you can also get different plates if you want a different number of faucet holes in your sink. That is very difficult if you have holes in your granite, Corain, or other high quality countertop. It may be prohibitive to drill extra holes, not mention it would be very unsightly to have "hole plugs" in any unused holes!
- Can I buy just the plate and cut a hole in my existing sink?
- This is not recommended because our sink holes are precision cut using computer programmable water-jet technology. Additionally, easySink technology is protected by US Patent #7039966, and we will not condone or tolerate any infringement.
- What if I don't have flexible water supply lines under my sink?
- In order to get the full benefit of the easySink technology, you need to have flexible water supply lines that can be passed up through the hole in the sink. This may be an issue in old homes with copper supply lines or in manufactured homes with PEX lines.
- I can't find anybody that sells easySink products in my area. What can I do?
- Sinks tend to be prohibitively expensive to ship one at a time, although we will give you the best price possible. Ask your local plumbing supply dealer to contact us to learn more about dealer opportunities that may be available.
- How hard is it to snap a faucet in and out of the sink hole in the basin?
- It takes about 20 pounds of force to insert / remove the plate from the sink basin. This will ensure that the faucet will stay put during the day-to-day use of your sink. You will not "accidentally" knock the plate and faucet out of the hole. It takes a significant amount of force to acomplish this.
- Doesn't the large hole in the sink cause the whole sink basin to become weak?
- No.
- Can I use any faucet I want with easySink?
- Yes you can! If the faucet you buy several years from now requires a different hole pattern than the one you have now, simply call us for a different plate with the correct hole pattern.
- Does the easySink invention apply to porcelain, fiberglass, cast-iron, etc?
- At this time, we are concentrating on the stainless steel market. Once production is up and running, we will certainly be able to use this technology with other types of sinks, including bathroom sinks.
- What are the benefits of stainless steel sinks, in general?
- It is chip resistant, stain resistant, and easy to clean. Stainless steel actually looks better with age, and there is no cracking. A lower gauge number indicates a stronger sink with a greater steel material thickness. Also, we include 18% chrome, and 8-10% nickel. The chrome improves strength and appearance, and the nickel helps to keep corrosion away.
